I'm very saddened by the belated news that Chris passed away. The man who taught me how to listen to my violin and express my feelings through it. I will remember him.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Chris. Only today June 28 I heard about that...Chris was a long time friend from school days in NY at MSM and also my chamber music partner at school for two years. We cherished wonderful moments of music making of violin/piano duo repertoire, I esp remember Brahms violin sonata no 2 and Prokofiev violin sonata no 1 in F minor. I also played for Chris on his graduation recital. It is a terrible tragedy. Although we did not see each other for about 13-14 years, we kept in touch by occasional emails. Last was December 2013. May he rest in peace and I shall forever cherish our special friendship. My deepest condolences to his father and sisters.

Chris, you were a great scene partner in acting class in NY. So sorry that you suffered so much. Miss you, Chris.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of my good friend Chris Buck. Chris and I were violin friends from our student days at the Manhattan School of Music, and remained friends after that. He was such a gentle soul. We have shared many laughters and a shed a few tears, but throughout our friendship, it was always the great love of music and the violin that connected us. I will always think of you Chris. May the melodies of the Birds Ascending and Barber Violin Concerto always be playing whereever you are.
Your friend, Simon Shiao (Jacksonville, FL)
