Christopher Todd "Chris" Camargo

Christopher Todd Camargo, known affectionately as Chris, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Waterville, Ohio, at the age of 61. Born on April 21, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, Chris was a beacon of kindness and enthusiasm for life, deeply cherished by his family and friends.

Chris attended St. James Elementary and later Central Catholic High School, where he was actively involved in sports, playing football and wrestling. After high school, he honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 to 1986, demonstrating the core values of honor, courage, and commitment.

Following his military service, Chris returned to Toledo and spent his career working in various factory jobs. Outside of work, he was a passionate cook and sports enthusiast. He coached and played on several softball teams, and never missed a chance to support his children's extracurricular activities.

Chris is survived by his daughters, Milena and Jalynn Slaybaugh; his stepchildren, Kia, Kyrie (Dominic Pasqualini), and Jacob Brady (Kate Dheel); siblings Cindy Dugan, Ronald (Mary) Camargo, Marty (Darlene) Camargo, and Lance Camargo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Camargo, his brother-in-law Tom Dugan, and his nephew, Matthew Dugan.

A celebration of life and a mass will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Alzheimer's Association, honoring Chris's compassionate spirit.
