Happy Birthday Chris.

Even though it is 10 zillion light years to heaven from earth, all I have to do is close my eyes and you are with me. I miss you so much and want to thank you for the wonderful memories. As you always told me, "I love you to the Moon and Back". Well, that goes double and more from me. Till we meet again.

Hey Chris,

I just want you to know that i still deeply appreciate everything you did for me. It's crazy to think it'll be 4 years since the last time i saw you. And its even crazier to look in the mirror and see that I am almost the same age you were before you left us. Every year around this time, I think even more of you and i miss you. I guess i just wanted you to know that I may not have known you as intimately as i would have wanted to since you were a few years older than me, but I definitely looked up to you. I will never forget the way you stuck up for me, some kid you knew nothing about. Though you may be gone, you live on in the lives of every person who you touched. Every day since you passed, I have thought to myself about what you might do if you were in my position. I probably always will. You were a smile when smiles were hard to come by. You were a light in the darkness. you were a gentle giant, and somebody who was larger than life. Most of all, you were someone who, to me, could have handled anything life threw his way. You, at least the you that i knew, stood for all the right reasons.

RIP knowing that as long as i am still breathing, i am going to keep trying to be what you were for me for others.

Thank you for the wonderful years that we were friends. I hope that one day, when It's my time, I can shake your hand again and hear you say that i made you proud.

Love you still man,

Chaz

Chris,

Happy Birthday! Man just the other day I broke down and cried. I can't believe its a year to the day of the last time i saw you. We all miss you here, and I wish we would have had more time with you! But in my quiet time this morning i read Isaiah 55:9-11 and it talks about how God's plan is greater than ours may be.

P.S. I pulled through this past summer. Remeber how you gave me a hard time about not being in OA in scouts? Well i did it. Hope your proud of me.

Your friend waiting patiently to see you again in heaven,

Dear Donna, Clay and Deanna,
I was so upset to hear of the loss of sweet Christopher. He was always so full of life and happiness, truly a face I looked forward to seeing each day I taught him as a child! I'll always remember the way he jumped into Clay's arms and hung on his neck when Clay came to pick him up at school, so happy to see his dad! As a brother, he kept a close eye on little Deanna when she first started school, always there to protect her. You are a very special family, and I know the deep love you have for each other and the Lord will carry you through this aweful time. My heart aches for you. I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Clay and Donna,
We want to let you know how deeply saddened we are to hear the news about Christopher.
We remember him as that little 3 year old running around at our Navy functions in Portland so strong and healthy.
May you both be comforted in knowing that Christopher is in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Deepest Sympany,
John and Sharon DeWaard
