Dear Firlit Family,

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Chris. Though I have not known him for many years, Chris was one of my dearest high school friends and I know he will be deeply missed.

One of the things I will always remember about Chris was the focused intensity he brought to every single one of his interests and endeavors. In high school it was competitive swimming, ice hockey on the pond outside of your house, his geckos and bearded dragons, playing the drums, going on fishing trips to Canada and the Bahamas, and just generally being a boss. In college, he was dedicated to his fraternity, the new friendships he made at Wake Forest, learning to ride the Heritage Classic motorcycle he stored at Gina's house, flying power kites, using his sense of humor and the screen name WakeJefe to give me endless grief about one thing or another on instant messenger, and working hard to get passing grades in all of his science classes so that he could go on to medical school. He was a loyal, hilarious, sarcastic, opinionated, magnetic person. I am grateful for the time we had together.

Please know that you are all in my thoughts during this immeasurably difficult time.

With heartfelt condolences,

Megan Henning Ollett
