Chris saved my life in April. I've been clean ever since. That was that. Luckily he had narcan on him...I would have died...no question. He was my friend...and a brother. I know he loved his children and knew he had a good relationship with his mother. We left Powell together to go to the Helping up Mission. We spent 2 weeks watching one another's backs on the streets of Baltimore. Roughed it and through that became brothers of sorts. I miss him dearly. I was in light contact with him though the summer. It was a bullet to the heart the day I caught the word of his passing. I will remember him forever...I owe my life to him...and that debt will be paid in my continued sobriety. Love ya Gilley. Hold a spot for me brother. Bless your soul. Derek Schell.

It's been about a week since he has been gone, it really hasn't hit my family yet but I'm glad my father Christopher Gilley is now at peace. I'm sorry I didn't get to say Happy Birthday to you before your passing. I love you dearly and so does Skylar Gilley and Sharon Jadwin. His step sisters Heather Tome and Candace Tome and his step father Robert Tome (Poncho) miss him dearly. I hope you're in peace wherever you're at. We all do R. I. P Chris Gilley
