I was thinking about Chris tonight. I messaged a friend about seeing a musical and all of a sudden, my mind stopped and all I could think about was standing with Chris outside of his office at OSU and chatting about musicals, football, and how we could impact our students.
Chris was a stand up guy. The world will continue to miss him

To the Hallam family and friends, I'm so sorry for your loss. Chris was my RA for both my freshman and sophomore years at Allegheny College, as well as an occasional classmate in our psych classes. While I am so sad to hear of his passing, I was able to smile knowing he was still involved with students. I can only imagine the number of lives he has positively impacted throughout his life. RIP Chris.

In just one year at Ohio State, Hallam made an immeasurable impact on my growth as a person. He's one of the toughest, nicest and most helpful people I'd ever met.

Dear Mr. Hallam and family. Please accept our deepest sympathies. Your son was an example of a life well lived. Although much too short, it seems that it was a privilege for everyone he touched to have him in their lives. I heard the speech he gave at the walk and was very touched. I will keep your family in my prayers. I hope your memories and the love you have for each other provides you peace. All the best, Cheryl Plummer and family

Sending many prayers and strength to the Hallam family. Although I did not know Chris personally, I attended the Pittsburgh Melanoma 5k as the Sunblock Sisters team. My sister and I are both survivors of this horrible disease and listening to Chris's inspirational speeches each year, he has always had a piece of my heart. Please know how his speeches touched our hearts and have inspired us all to spread the word. All my love, strength and prayers.

Chris was one of my most memorable students in the master's program at Ohio State. Always engaged, intensely curious, full of energy and good will for his classmates. It saddens me that we have lost him so young. My heart goes out to his family.

When I started as a GA at OSU in 2009, Hallam made sure we were ready to participate in all things Buckeye spirit and spent part of an afternoon teaching all the new GAs the OSU fight song, Carmen Ohio, and other chants we would hear at the highly anticipated football games. I appreciated his energy and love of all things OSU. Thinking of your family during this time.
