Christopher Thomas "Chris" Jordan

Christopher Thomas Jordan, known affectionately as Chris, passed away on October 14, 2024, in Salem, Oregon, at the age of 54. Born on April 8, 1970, in Los Angeles, California, Chris led a life marked by resilience and kindness, ultimately finding peace and a sense of home in his final years.

Chris was a man of many talents and passions; he was an adept fixer and builder, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His commitment to helping others was evident through his actions, such as reversing 16 overdoses, demonstrating his dedication to the wellbeing of his community. Chris was also a participant in Celebrate Recovery, reflecting his journey towards personal healing and his support for others on similar paths.

He is survived by his loving family: daughters Selena, Rhianna, and Anna; son Skyler; significant other Cassandra, who was his partner of 20 years and described as his soulmate; mother Joyce; brother Scott; sister-in-law Yvonne; and many others who felt his impact deeply. Chris was preceded in death by his son Nicholas and his father Bobby.

A celebration of life will be held on the last weekend of November in Portland, Oregon, with additional services planned soon in Salem and possibly Eugene, Oregon. These gatherings will honor Chris's legacy and the profound love he had for his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Portland CTC on NE Davis St, Hooper's Detox Center, and homeless shelters to support others in finding sobriety and recovery, a cause close to Chris's heart.

Chris's final arrangements are being handled by Johnson Funeral Home in Salem, Oregon. His life, marked by overcoming personal adversities and extending kindness to others, leaves a lasting legacy of love and resilience.
