I just heard of the passing of one of my favorite high school friends. Chris was a true gent in high school and I'm sad I will not see him at our 30 year reunion this summer. Ann Arbor Pioneer HS class of 83 salutes a tremendous brother.

It was with great sadness I heard about Chris passing. We were classmates at Ann Arbor Pioneer HS class of 1983. We are planning our 30 year reunion this summer and it is always a shock to hear the news of old friends passsing. RIP Chris and best wishes to his family.

We first met Chris when Tyler and Chase were playing baseball together at MARA and it was a joy to reconnect with the Koch family a few years later at Cedarwood. Chris was an amazing coach and friend. He was always in a great mood and made every child or parent he came in contact with feel very special. He was a welcoming smile at the field and at wal mart when I would run into him. Xan loved him and said he wanted jake to know he really liked his dad and he is sorry for his loss . My son Austin and I feel the same way. May god hold you in his arms and lift you up in your time of need.

One of my boys and I played in at least 3 father son golf tourneys where we were paired with Chris and one of his boys. There were many teaching moments and Chris mastered them all. They always placed 1st or 2nd but it wasn't that they won, but how they won. Respectfully, humbly, with impeccable manners from the boys. As a father, you hope to raise your sons to be gentlemen. Chris succeeded.
