Just discovered Chris's obituary, while wandering Google. Sad to hear.

Dear Kathy, Ryan and Whitney,
Although the time has passed and sorry to say just read this today 1/2/17 and shocked to say the least.
Even though I have not seen you guys in years, your dad was a great friend and enjoyed mounting some of his specimens, but most enjoyed the rare times I spent with your family.
Love to each of you,
Trent Meyer

Chris' wit, wink. And smile I will always remember. I will never forget his nickname for me...Lake Lizard. It won't be the same without you at the Lake. My heart goes out to Kathy and family.

I'll never forget our times on the water at Lake Almanor, flyfishing for Browns and Rainbows, he learned very quickly and was very adept at everything he did. His enthusiasm for fishing was contagious. A thoughtful generous man. See you on the other side Chris, until then we will miss you.
Kathy, our hearts are with you and your family.

Chris was a life long friend, mentor and so much more. Our 40+ years spanned so many fun times creating a bond that will last for eternity. He was such a talented man and so passionate about living, always curious, always willing to "give it a try." Chris - I loved, may you find more great adventures ... Tom

I'm so sorry to hear that Chris passed. We swapped life stories and cancer-related conversation in the Enloe oncology waiting room while waiting for our respective daily treatments. He was more interested in those around him than his own well-being which speaks volumes. I knew him for only a couple of months...my condolences.

My heart goes out to all of you during this sad time.
Chris was such an important part of the Chico community.
He always gave his time and that of his Modern Building crew
to help with Rotary projects. His impact on those projects are his
lasting legacy.
He will be missed by those whose lives he impacted.
