Christopher "Chris" Brian Mayzel, 37, of Woodbridge VA, a beloved, son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2024 surrounded by his family. Chris was preceded in death by his stepmother, Cynthia Mayzel, a stepbrother, Jake Lewis, an uncle, Joseph Mayzel, and grandparents Armand and Constance (Manfre) Mayzel, all from Woodbridge. Grandparents Bonnie and Clint Hower of Ashland KY also precede Chris in death.

Born in Fairfax, VA on July 26, 1987, Chris spent his life and early years in Woodbridge, VA and Clarkson, Michigan, graduating from Woodbridge Senior High School in 2005. Chris was a long-time employee of Morrison Healthcare and most recently, LIdl, serving in various management capacities. Chris enjoyed music, traveling and spending time with his family. His rescue cat, Ben, brought him great joy.

Chris is survived by his father, Armand Mayzel, of Woodbridge; his mother, Jennifer Collinsworth, of Wyoming; a sister Emily (Chris) Busse of Fort Dix, NJ; a stepbrother Eric Lewis (Crystal) of Orange, VA; aunts Melanie Blackadar (Edward) of Burke, VA and Maria Mayzel (Oswaldo) of Baltimore, MD; uncles Tim Collinsworth (Stella) of Virginia Beach, VA and James Mayzel (Susan) of Woodbridge; and grandparents, Thomas Collinsworth (Roma) of Yorktown, VA. Chris will also be missed by his surviving cousins, Aaron, Jeffrey, Kara, Ashlynn, Nicholas, Lucas, Olivia, Stokley and Tucker. Chris will also be missed by many family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into the care All Boro Cremation Services of New York. A celebration of Chris's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Burlington County, NJ Animal Shelter via https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/animal_shelter_donations.

Chris was an organ donor. His generous contributions ensured that several others will live on in his absence. "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls". Matthew 11:28-29
