Chris was a very special coworker. He always shared a positive message and a huge smile. I feel blessed to have known him. So very sorry for your loss of such a beautiful soul. He is missed by all of us.

My heart goes out to the Mullen family over the loss of Chris. He was a cornerstone in all your lives as a father, a brother, a husband. May God’s peace comfort you during your mourning.
I cannot pinpoint how we become best friends over 50 years ago, other than recalling that mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Oh, we shared mischief and adventure back then; roaming high school hallways, Georgetown streets, and beaches from Delaware to Florida.
Chris was friends with my brothers, and I a friend of the Mullen brothers. Chris was the kind of brother that his older brothers looked up to, and were proud of.
Our friendship endured our career paths, and we remained friends of each other’s families. We celebrated births and grieved the passing of siblings and parents. Now, we all grieve together over Chris.
Chris lived his life like a warrior and we are so thankful he had Tina as his loving wife, soul mate, yet more importantly, as the angel God sent to be with him in the end.
We all have an empty space that Chris occupied. He was large in all our lives. A he still is.
God is Great
Very Respectfully,
Mark Thomas

We say farewell to a colleague, a dear friend, and a cherished member of our DIT Team. Chris was more than someone we worked with—he was a source of kindness and inspiration to everyone fortunate to know him.
Chris had an extraordinary ability to brighten any room he entered. Through his unwavering dedication to the mission and heartfelt support for those around him, he made a lasting impact on all our lives.
We will deeply miss the joy he brought to our days, the wisdom he generously shared, and the camaraderie he fostered within our team. While we are heartbroken by his loss, we are profoundly grateful for the time we shared with him and the cherished memories he has left behind. Rest in Peace, Brother.

I wanted to say that even tho I only met Chris a few times - he made an impression on me. I thot he was one of the most fascinating people to converse with especially about history. I also was witness during a vacation in NC to view first hand his and Tina’s loving relationship. There was a moment when I saw him touch her shoulder as they watched a sermon/mass on the computer - they then went for a long bike ride on the beach path. Watching them on that Sunday morning and during the vacation made me realize that was the type of love that was so very special and the type that people strive/yearn for. I pray for Tina that God will give her peace, strength, much needed rest, powerful comfort, and a strong sense of hope for her life. N.

Not a day passes where I don't think of Chris and the amazing, positive spirit he was. Always putting others first, may he rest easy now.

My heart is with you, Tina, and with your family. I always enjoyed hearing you speak of Chris, which you did often. Clearly, you both shared a very special connection and had a love story that many aspire to. You guys always put God and family first, while both being very successful and accomplished individuals, and this is just one of the many ways in which I strive to emulate your path in life.

I worked with Chris at Loudoun County DIT. We met every Friday for a few months discussing upcoming projects. He was always such a caring and kind person. We talked about or family and upcoming trips which creates a different bond in the work world. As you get to know a person's family through discussions, you become more than just coworkers, you become friends. He will be missed for sure. Sending prayers to the family during this difficult time.
