Christopher Murdoch Obituary
He graduated from Yale University and received his Phd from the University of Maine where he was a professor and Director of the Forestry Department. He had two Siamese cats Neffy and Cleo who were very special to him.
He is survived by his wife, Paula; two sons, Donald Murdoch, Phd of New York and Robert Murdoch, Phd of Washington, DC; stepson, Michael Rozos Jr and his wife, Evelyn of NC, 3 stepgrandchildren, Alexander, Tryston, and Evan; three brothers, Alexander Murdoch III Phd and his wife, Claudia of NY, Linn Murdoch and his wife, Cindy of FL, James Murdoch and his wife, Monica of Washington, DC; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Christopher Jr who died in 1999.
A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Town Animal Orphanage, PO Box 565, Orono, ME 04468 or to the Lafayette Cancer Center, c/o Healthcare Charities, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Chris. We were great friends years ago in Hamden, Ct. when we were in the Boy Scouts together. Many a good time was had with Chris on the numerous camp outs and adventure hikes we shared with Bill and troop 610. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our deepest sympathy from Boy Scout Troop 610 in Hamden, CT. Chris was a leader in the troop back in the 70's. He was a great inspiration to many youngs boys including myself. I spoke with Chris last year at about this time, catching up on the good ole days. We will miss him dearly.
