1975 – 2015
On Sunday, December 13, 2015 Chris Pearson, Regina and formerly of Broadview, Saskatchewan died at the age of 40 years. The funeral service will be held in the Broadview Community Hall on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the Broadview Cemetery. An additional Celebration of Chris's Life will be announced by the family for the springtime of 2016 which will take place in Regina. Chris was predeceased by his dad Morley, his sister Erin, a nephew Kagen and his grandparents. He will continue to watch over his mom Mary Ann, his big brother Danny and his wife Karri Dawn; his niece Kalbry, his nephew Dane and his fiancée and light of his life, Michelle. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to name as well as Michelle's family. The family and Michelle would like to give a special thank you to Auntie Barbie for her love, laughter and support. Also a special thank you to Dr. Chalchal and the staff on Unit 3B of the Pasqua Hospital for the care and support provided to Chris. If friends so desire contributions in memoriam may be made to the Saskatchewan Wheelchair Rugby team and/or the Canadian National Adaptive Water Skiing team. On line condolences may be made at

Hard to believe that going to be 8 years, I used to go to Wascana Rehab to watch, play or help out where I could for the Murder Ball practices. I hope time has softened the razor sharp edges of your grief. I totally and fully understand as I list my husband to cancer in August of 2015

Ann's Angels honers the memory of Chris "Cowboy" Pearson every year on our memorial tree. He trained here in Florida under Ann's UCanSki2 program for many years. We lost Ann 10 days later that same year. We honer them both and think them often. Love you Chris.

It's been almost 2 years since Chris passed but it seems like yesterday. I miss "my boy" so much. But he was with me through my ordeal last year, reminding me to "suck it up Auntie". A magnificent person even when he's not here.

I am now just learning of this very sad news through an email from URO and am feeling stunned. Chris and I shared many commonalities and became easy friends after first meeting sitting in our wheelchairs.. We both had small town-farm roots, loved horses,rodeos, meeting people & finding fun & adventure before and after we started life wheeling. We have lost a great & kind man who will always be treasured. I extend my sincere condolences to all who love him.

My deepest condolences to you Mary Anne and family - i was fortunate and proud to know Chris from a young lad as he was my cousins very best friend growing up.
He accomplished a lot and was quite an inspiration to many and many looked up to him. I have never ever heard a bad word about him.
He will be missed by many here but he is now re-united with his dad and sister. May the fond memories and his smile and laugh continue to echo for you to remember him as he was.

I met Cowboy last year at the USA National Disabled Water Ski Championship. One of those guys you feel like is an old friend even though you just met.

So saddened to see this obituary. I spoke with Chris in October while visiting with another friend/coworker from the Credit Union and was saddened to hear of his battle. I had no idea it could progress that fast. My deepest sympathies to his significant other and his family. Chris was always a guy I admired....always upbeat and genuine.
