I have only today learned of Chris' death. Our Families had a long association, his father being a young barrister when my father was a young Solicitor and we instructed his father and later Chris on many occasions. He was an excellent Counsel who gave his all for his Client. He was immensely bright, hard working, unassuming and modest and instilled a great sense of security and confidence by just being on your side. It is a tragedy that he died when he had so much further to travel. God bless and fond memories. The Fonseca Family.

I was hugely in awe of Chris. When I was a pupil barrister I saw him cross examining in a murder trial and when I realised what he was doing and how he was doing it, it made the hairs on my neck raise. He was the best cross examiner I ever saw, a true inspiration. He was a lovely man, extraordinarily talented yet without conceit.
