I did not know Christopher. I am a Pembroke Pines neighbor who, multiple times a week, for the last seven years, have often walked by the sign asking people to drive safely in Christopher's memory. I often wondered what kind of person he was, and what happened. I do not drive, but when I ride my bike past this sign, it always reminds me to be careful of the cars. Today I decided to look his name up, and see what kind of person he was and how he passed.
I hope it's not appropriate to leave this message here. But if his family looks at this page still, I want them to know I've thought about this person often, and because of the sign left there, I've been much more cautious of cars. Perhaps it's also because my husband shares his name that I often pause at this sign and sometimes say a small prayer even though I'm no longer religious. I just wanted to leave my love for his family and friends.

I first met Chris when I interviewed him to work for me at the Houston Office of Lloyd's Register; I was first struck by his unwavering enthusiasm and energy qualities that shined to all who met him.
Chris taught me many things during our time working together, not least of which being how important it is to be positive and enjoy what you do and to live life well.
Chris was a friend and colleague who will be greatly missed by all; my deepest and most sincere condolences to Michael, Karen, Derek, Lauren and all of his family.

As many good times as we had in college one of the best ones is the USA vs. Mexico soccer game. I still don’t know all the rules of the game but you better believe I have that USA jersey on every chance. You were a great friend and more of an influence than you ever knew. We’ll be raising the glasses to you for many years to come.
Going to miss you buddy.

Christoper, I will never forget you. I will never forget kneeling beside you telling you that everything is ok and that you are not alone. I will never forget holding your hand and praying for you until the ambulance arrived. It’s crazy how someone that I never knew could change my life forever. I will never take the fact that I wake up in the morning for granted and will eternally cherish every moment that I am alive. For Christopher’s family, my heart and prayers go out to you. I never got a chance to know him, but he will always be a part of my life…

I am so very sorry, my heart and my prayers go out to Chris' family, Lauren and his friends. Being new to the Miami Team Chris showed me around the office and always made time to help every co-worker no matter the task. He was always making us laugh and smile at the little things in life. I fondly remeber him signing up for Holiday Card Projects, Charity Run's with Lauren and as our building Fire Marshall. He was a joy to be around and I cherish those times and miss him deeply - Ginger Garte (Pembroke Pines, FL)
