March 5th, 1984 - June 25th, 2012
The family of Christopher Reid are very sad to announce his tragic and accidental death at the Allan Potash Mine. Chris is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Kali Grainger and his daughter, Ellis; mom, Beverley Brassard (Albert); sister, Ashley (Riley) Fowler, niece and nephew, Lillyanna and Benson; sister, Jenny (Louie) Halbgewachs, nephews, Louis A. and Manny, and niece Emry; brother, Kelly (Sharon); two nieces and one nephew, Sage Kelsey Leland. He will be forever missed by his many uncles, aunts and cousins. Also missed by Kali's mom, Colleen (Aron), Kali's dad, Lloyd (Debbie); sisters, Amy, Carly (Dustin) and niece, Alivia. Chris was a quiet loveable guy and he always went out of his way to help his family and friends. He loved tinkering with cars. Chris played hockey for many years with the Saskatoon Knights. He loved children and was proud to be a new daddy to Ellis. In lieu of flowers a Trust Fund is set up for Ellis at the Scotiabank - Circle Drive Branch (405 Circle Dr. E, Saskatoon, SK S7K 4B4). A Service to Celebrate Chris's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30th at Christ Church Anglican Church (515-28th Street West). You are and will forever be the love of my life. You were an amazing father and fiance and you will always be a major part of Ellis and my lives. We are a family and nothing can/will change that fact. I know you are watching over us and are filled with so much love and pride for our beautiful baby girl! I will always remember when aunty Bev, used to watch me when we were smaller and take me to watch Chris play hockey, then go for Tiger Tiger icecream. I wish I would of kept a closer bond with him as we grew older. HE would still give me a big hug when I saw him out. He always had the biggest heart. I will always miss him and my heart goes out to Aunty Bev, Ash, Kali and Baby Ellis.

Its been such a shock that something this tragic could have ever happened to someone who was such a great man. Someone who has a new little girl baby Ellis... a beautiful girlfriend Kali... a new life. To be taken away seems so selfish. No one will ever understand. There are a lot of heavy hearts out there at this time.
