To all the Shale Family,
My deepest sympathy to you all following Chris' sudden death. I have the fondest memories of our childhood together in The Avenue, Dallington. Although our paths diverged long ago I had hoped to see Chris and his family again with Di Jelley, my cousin. I send you all my best wishes at this very difficult time. Rosanne Creighton

I only met Christopher once after hearing so many great things about him from my parents. In the short space that we chatted I thought he was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed. My thoughts are with you all.

You were a friend for all my life -from earliest childhood and growing up together-later our paths diverged but we stayed in touch-Not seeing each other much but knowing you were just always there-your laughter, your love of life and your huge genorosity -I cannot believe I will never hear your voice again. You were so much loved, above all by your wonderful family, but by so many many more -I will miss you so very much . My deepest sympathy to all the family

Terrible to lose such a great friend, husband to Nikki and father toat the Shale family. At least there will be a friend and humour up there when our time comes even if I inevitably end up at the wrong end of the joke.

I only met Christopher very briefly when he bought my house but I found him to be such a kind, loving and happy man who had many plans for the future. My deepest condolence to the family and that they find strength in each other. God Bless Karen Leonard

Christopher was quite simply the best boss I have ever had - he made work fun, not hard and there wasn't a day that I didn't want to got to work. He was an inspiration and showed me the way forwards to so many good things from quite an early age. I know he will be missed by so many people. My thoughts are with all of his familly.
