Christopher Stone Obituary
Chris graduated from Arvada West High School in 1984 and later attended Ft Lewis College in Durango. He discovered that he had a real talent with computers and worked as IT Specialist for the federal government for 22 years. He married Desiree Carmody on July 19, 1998 and they became parents of three children all at once in 2006.
Chris was an aspiring writer and regularly maintained a blog focusing on his role as a parent and his light-hearted musings. He was also published several times in the Your Hub section of the Denver Post. He loved the mountains and was a resident of the Evergreen /Kittridge area for 10 years where he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Evergreen. Chris was an avid Bronco and Avalanche fan and was perusing a pilot's license. Chris will be remembered for his generosity, intellect, sense of humor and his deep love of the Lord and his family.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace.
Donations in memory of Chris can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, World Vision or Samaritan's Purse.

Desiree and family, My deepest, heartfelt condolences to you and your family for the loss of your dear Chris. I know you will miss him very much. I have fond memories of him, especially at your after Christmas gatherings. He had a unique and quirky spirit that endeared him to us all. I first met Chris through Desiree in 2006 when I moved to Denver and worked for Desiree at the VBA. Chris was always "popping" down to say hi to Desiree and entertain all of us in her office. I enjoyed reading his blogs and following him on Face Book. I considered him a friend and will miss his wit, thought provoking articles/posts and his obvious love of the Lord.
