Mae Bailey
Age 91, of Magnolia, passed away Wednesday morning in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. She was born in New Kensington, Pa., a daughter of the late James and Cora Mae (Irwin) Guinn, resided in Magnolia since 1985, previously residing in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio, where she assisted her husband in the various churches he pastored. After his retirement in 1973, they resided in Eustis, Fla. until moving to Magnolia. Mae was a 1939 graduate of New Kensington High School, and in her early years had been a telephone operator in Salem, Ohio. She was a member of First Friends Church in Canton, and attended Magnolia United Methodist Church. Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Rev. Walter R. Bailey, on July 7, 1996; a daughter, Lola Mae Bailey; and a sister, Lola Duncan.
Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Ted Cobbs, of Waynesburg, and Deborah and Fred Williams, of Coshocton; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Joe (Emily) Cobbs and their daughter, Harper, of Cincinnati, Karen (Ian) Coffee, of Salem, and Whitney Williams, of Westerville; one niece, Lynne Peterson, of Salem.
Services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Magnolia United Methodist Church. A private burial will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in Damascus Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Condolences may be sent to:

You have our deepest sympathy and our prayers are with the family at this time. Mae was truly a beautiful person inside and outside. We truly admired her for her wonderful example of being a graceful and godly women. She will truly be missed. May your fond memories of her give you a feeling of peace.

Mae Bailey - like a second mom growing up and so many memories spanning almost 60 years with the Baileys. I am sure that Walt met you at the heavenly gates with open arms. To Kay and Debbie,our forever friends, I send my love and comfort. I admire your dedication and support to your mom over the past year. I will forever remember Mae with a smile.
