Chrstine Cizek

Chesterfield - Christine H. Cizek 72, of Chesterfield, New Hampshire passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at her home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Chris was born December 7, 1952 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was raised in Verbank, NY and after graduating from Millbrook Central High School in 1971 she obtained an A.S.S. degree in Secretarial Science from SUNY at Morrisville in 1973 and began working as a civilian employee of the United States Air Force for 35 years. While employed she obtained a B.A. in Business Management in 1993 from Mary Washington University, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

In addition to her service to her county, Chris always put the needs of others before her own with compassion and sincerity. In every email correspondence Chris signed off with the phrase, "Be curious! Be amazed!" She lived her life exemplifying the phrase's meaning through her pursuit of learning many interests, and also inquiring and assisting others with the pursuit of their own. Above all else, she loved spending time at her special happy place with family at Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Chris is survived by her nephew Benton Carr and wife Stephanie of Massachusetts, and their three children; niece, Aubree Carr of Massachusetts; her many cousins, and her loving and devout partner Don Poellot of Chesterfield, NH of seven years-three months- seven days, and his children Kristin Poellot, Keith Poellot, Kim Rabenold, Adrienne Lehmann, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Chris is pre-deceased by her mother, Dorothy (Koppenhoefer) Cizek; her father, Bohumil Cizek; sister, Laura Cizek-Carr, and sister, Karen Cizek. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers Chris requested donations be made to Bayada Vermont Brattleboro Hospice, 1222 Putney Road, Suite 107, Brattleboro, Vt, 05301, in her memory.
