Chu-Tsing Li

Dr. Li, you will be missed.
I was fortunate to be one of his last few Ph.D. advisees; his knowledge in Yuan painters and other Chinese art benefitted me and inspired me in the pursuit of Yuan era even after my graduation. I appreciated that his mentoring style have fostered my independent thinking in research and formulating ideas in Chinese art. He encouraged students to surpass his scholarship; also generously shared his books and introduced scholars to his students. He always looked out students' future careers. For all of these, I am truly grateful!

My memories of Dr. Li are immeasurably rich and wonderful. He taught me so much. I would never be able to thank him enough.

A great mentor will truly be missed.
