Ciara Renae Romero

On Thursday, January 4th, 2018, Ciara Renae Romero, 20, passed into the loving arms of the Lord to become an angel in heaven. Ciara was the absolute sunshine in her family, a dedicated healer in both her personal and professional life, and a proud, productive member of her community.
Ciara was the eldest child of, and is survived by, Paul and Mary Romero. She was a personal angel and irreplaceable source of love and support to her younger brothers, Isaiah Romero (18), Israel Romero (15), and her baby sister, Izabelle Romero (8).
Ciara was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, CO on June 20th, 1997. She grew up loving the outdoors in her beloved state of Colorado. She graduated from Central High School in 2015, and enrolled at Colorado Mesa University where she planned to embark on her third year of study. Shortly after her enrollment she began working for Hilltop where she was employed until she went to heaven. Ciara was well known because her work in the community and she touched the lives of hundreds of friends. Ciara's smile and laughter are now immortal in the hearts of the people who knew her best. As a Colorado girl, she mostly loved spending time outdoors. Hiking, boating, running, going to sporting events with her family, spending time with her dog, Gracie, and generally driving like a maniac up and down the valley was what she loved the most. She adored her closest friends as much as they adored her.
Ciara was born into a nurturing role from the beginning of her precious life. When Ciara was only two years old her brother, Isaiah, was born with special needs. Ciara learned from an early age how to love and care for other people, especially those with special needs and disabilities. She knew in high school that she wanted to dedicate the rest of her life to providing care to those with special needs. Stories abound of her tender touch as she often went the extra mile for those she cared for and she loved her family tremendously. Isaiah was followed by her brother Israel, currently a student and football player at Central High School, the same school Ciara graduated from in 2015. Israel "Izzy" would follow Ciara everywhere and, as he grew older, she would pass along her most beloved characteristics to him, teaching him, and nurturing him into a very respectful and courageous young man. In 2009, Ciara finally had a baby sister when Izabelle was born. Izabelle and Ciara shared the unbreakable bond of sisterhood. Izabelle had the best role model in her big "Sissy" and Ciara loved "Princess" Izabelle with all she had to give.
Ciara is survived by her mother, Mary; father, Paul, and her younger siblings, Isaiah, Israel, and Izabelle, all of Grand Junction, CO and David Hatcher, who was a loving father figure to Ciara. Ciara had a very large family and those of us nearest and dearest to her include her surviving grandmothers Lana Vigil and Eva Villalobos and her great-grandmother, Mary Gonzalez of Grand Junction. Loving members of Ciara's family include her uncles, Jose Vigil (godfather), Anthony Sanchez, and Charlie Villalobos and her aunts, Adriana Gallardo of Grand Junction and Yolanda Cervantes of SLC, Utah. Ciara has many cousins who love and miss her dearly, and she was also a doting aunty to several children. We love you and we miss you so much, Ciara.
