HICKORY – Cindy G. Epling, 53, of Hickory, passed away October 25, 2010 to be with her Heavenly Father for eternity in His Kingdom. She was preceded in death by her mother, Johana G. Stafford and father, Louis L. Stafford. She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Epling; her son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Patricia Lackey; brother and sisters, Johana Sykes (Ed), Mark Stafford (Karen), Michelle Deal (Mark) and Shannon Stafford (Toni). She is also survived by her step-children, John Epling and daughter-in-law, Lovey Epling, Crystal Smith (Jimmy), Christie Epling and grandchildren, Adrianna, Jonathan, Hannah, Samuel, Grace, Tyler and Ethan; also included are Cindy’s nieces and nephews, all who will love and cherish her always in their hearts. During her life on earth she enjoyed many aspects of life – crafting, cooking, spending time with her family and enjoying God’s creations. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Funeral and burial arrangements well be in the care of Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations. The visitation will be Thursday, October 28th at Catawba Funeral Home from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley for all their care and kindness during this most difficult time. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
