Cindy Shoop

So very sorry Greg & family!

My friendship with Cindy started in 1988 when I started working at Sears. Cindy was the most interesting person I had ever met. We worked in the "cash cage" we worked there just 2 at a time. We really got to know each other well. Cindy had many experiences that amazed me. One thing about Cindy that I loved was her totally adoration and love for her husband Greg. I enjoyed our friendship. She was fun to be around and she planned the best parties. She was also a good listener. The one thing I really wanted to do was go to Disneyland with her. I knew she and Greg would be wonderful Disney guides as they both LOVE Disney. I´ll always treasure our friendship. Till we meet again my friend.

We had many great times together, I have thought about her often. She has left a legacy for all who knew her. My hope is for comfort for her family that she loved so dearly. She will be remembered by me as a Friend. I am sorry that her life has been cut short. May she rest in peace.

I'm so thankful I was blessed to have a short chat over the phone with her in October. She's one of the great ones - one who is kind, thoughtful, considerate with a fun personality and a clever sense of humor. I'd forgotten that she liked square dancing - How fun! I imagine she was fantastic at it. She sometimes brought in to the office a little treat for each of us when it was nearing a couple of the major holidays like Christmas. A very special lady. She'll be missed.

I enjoyed the Halloween parties that Cindy and Greg held. I remember Cindy as a fun, joyful, beautiful soul who was welcoming to all. My prayers and sympathies are with Greg and the family.

Cindy and Greg have always been in the center of all things Disney in our Sale Lake Disney Club, with many great memories of fun parties at their home, with wonderful decor, lots of fun and lots of food!! Lasting friendships were made. I send my deepest condolences to Cindy´s amazing husband, Greg and to the rest of the family. Amid the grief, I hope there´s joy in her transition to a new life.

We enjoyed getting to know Cindy and Greg at square dancing in 2006. Such a fun couple to dance with. Shocked to hear of Cindy's passing away so young. Our prayers are with your family.

I will miss seeing Cindy at a square dance. She was always warm and welcoming and also quite a bit of fun.

We express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Shoop and Banham families. Though I did not know Cindy personally, I worked with Greg for many years and remember him always speaking of Cindy with love and admiration.

Greg, I'm sorry for your loss, don't know how you go on

I was only an in-law to one of Cindy's nieces, but she and Greg welcomed me into their family and made me feel loved. I will never forget her love and kindness. Thank you, Cindy. I will miss you.

I met Greg and Cindy square dancing. They were always fun to dance in our square. Cindy will be greatly missed.

Saying Cindy is my best friend is way understating our relationship. She is my adopted sister. She sucked me into her Disney obsession and her family. I will always treasure our time together. Disney trips will not be the same without her. I so feel her spirit with me today at Walt Disney World. I love you Cindy and look forward to being with you again.

Cindy, I met you as a teenager while you lived in your Taylorsville home. I enjoyed babysitting your 3 children and later moved in with you my senior year in your Sandy home to help out with your kids after school. I loved you and your family as you were so good and kind to me. You put up with my intense girl moments which included bringing my full length mirror with me on the house boat at Lake Powell. I still laugh at that to this day. I'm going to miss coming over during Halloween to see you and spend time catching up. You're in a good place and I'll see you again some day. Love, Cynthia

Hey Poppy, it's Chan. It's going to be very weird not having you around anymore. I hope that you and David are together now and you are able to tell so many stories to him about what's happened over the years. I bet you're also excited to see all the pets again too. You can now help David with all of them. Thank you for everything you're done for me. I only have one more thing to ask from you. Please help David with taking care of Deebo for me. It's the most important thing I've asked anyone to do, so I hope you two are able to keep him happy for me. Thanks, Love you.
