Sending love to all of my Wallengren extended family as you celebrate the life and accomplishments of Grammy/Auntie O, and mourn the day our planet lost a star.

My favorite memories of "Aunt Orma" are from our family visits to California when I was a child, visits to her home in Santa Fe 10-12 years ago, and more recently, visits with her during the E.F. Wallengren Hoopfest. In more recent years I have called her Claire (or Auntie-O).

I cherish the letters Auntie-O wrote to our family at Christmas years ago and the letters she sent back to me (returning my earlier correspondence with my cousin Ernie, written in my teen years). I also shared letters with her that Ernie had written to me years ago, and she was thrilled at each new bit of Ernie's writing that I found. Since I became a professional writer also, we always had that in common and talked about it over social media from time to time.

I will miss you Auntie-O! I didn't see you often, but I enjoyed all that you were to your kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. You've left quite a crop of fine folks here on the planet and I know that you've taught them how to live and grow. Go with God, and please find a way to send us the CliffsNotes on cloud-hopping in Heaven. <3
