Clara McCART Obituary
Died peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Born May 1, 1927 in Port Arthur, she was always a loving, witty charmer. She worked many happy years as a head nurse of Obstetrics at the Grace Hospital and spent her retirement babysitting her loving grandchildren Liam, Shannon, Brennan, Trevor, Meagan, Michele, Scott, Liam and Suzy, crafting and enjoying the company of friends and family. Known to all as "Nanny", she loved being surrounded by family and friends. She has gone to join her loving husband D'Arcy and daughter Shelley Zurcher. Nanny is survived by her children and their spouses D'Arcine Thompson, Jurg Zurcher, Tim (Donna), Kevin, Shelley, and Maureen Martin (Claude), as well as her great-grandchildren Lucas, Sawyer and Hank. So sorry to hear of Nanny's passing. I met Nanny when Shelley and I started nursing school over 30years ago. Nanny was a phenomenal woman and I enjoyed her stories and advice over the years. She will be missed a lot. I will never forget her, she was a sweetheart.

I am so very happy that I met her when I was in Ottawa last June. We celebrated Susie's 21st Birthday.

Nan loved everyone and treated every person she met like they were close family.
