Missy and Family:
I am so sorry to hear about Clara, she will always have a spot in my heart. She took me in at a time when I had no place to go. She was such a pleasure to be around. Clara loved to make her sauce and was so good at it. To know her was to love her, she will be in my prayers forever. Love - Ed B.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Romano Family
I fondly knew Mrs. Romano as Cris's "baking nana". I loved her treats that she would send to work. I know from talking to Cris that she was loved and she loved you all very much. I pray that your family finds peace in this time of sorrow.

Missy and family,
We are so sorry to hear this sad sad news! We all love Clara like she was our grandma and will miss her and all the stories very much. I will never forget seeing her at Joey's baptismal in her black leather jacket and high heels. I am now grateful for that time I got to spend with her and will cherish it always. We are so sorry we are not there with you physically at this time, though we are in spirit. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

To Missy and Family:
I am a strong believer of the fact that the definition of "family" should never be limited to genetics. In Clara's case, she was everyone's favorite mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend. She embraced all of those roles in that huge heart and we all grew to love her by virtue of the stories Missy would share. Her finest legacy was the family she raised, the love she instilled and the lessons she taught. The term "generation gap" never applied to Clara. We were all blessed to have shared in her experiences and we will forever be grateful that Missy allowed us into her world. Words cannot express the sadness we feel for your loss.

Aunt Clara:
You have been and will always
be very dear to me. You were one
of the kindest and most forgiving
people I have ever known. "Life is
too short to be mad at anyone" was always your motto.
I will miss your weekly letters and our phone conversations. I love you and will
always remember you. I never got a
chance to say goodbye and for that
I am truly sorry.
Watch over us and give my my love to my Mom and Dad when you see
them. As always, I will keep you in my prayers.
Your niece, Pam

Nan (MY CLARA),
How do I say goodbye to my best friend who has always been there for me since birth? I will never forget the special things you taught me and your words of wisdom that I adored so much. I will miss you with all my heart and find it so hard to let you go. I know you'll be safe w/ Pops, Papa M. and loved ones that you've missed so much. They will now get to enjoy you and the joy you bring to everyone.

I will never forget those "two beautiful chickens" and will always think of you when I put on a "nice" pot of coffee. Please pray for me watch over me like you said you would. And I will do the same for you. You meant the world to all of us. You have my heart and always will.
I Love you.

Mrs. Romano, You will always be a special person in my life. As a young child I will always remember spending time at your house with Crissy, Jimmy and Missy. You always made sure you had my favorite rigatoni and home made sauce when I came over. You were a special person to my family and we will always have fond memories. Like my father always said "no one makes sauce like Clare Romano."

I know I didn't tell you often enough but I hope you know how much you meant to me and the kids. You brought us so much happiness and you always loved us unconditionally. We will think of you everyday and all the wonderful memories you left us with. We love you.
Please tell Pops and Papa Mitchell we love and miss them too.
