I was Clara's neighbor when she moved back onto Trolley Way. As I understand it, she had lived in the place next door before moving to Washington and was very glad to be back on a familiar street.

Clara was absolutely the best baker and cook I think I have ever known. She would always seem to just "know" when I was feeling "under the weather" and she would call and say "I just finished a big batch of homemade chicken noodle soup" (with homemade noodles) "May I bring you some?" Or coffee cake, cookies, whatever she baked was delicious and freely shared.

Clara loved her yard and continued to mow and edge it by herself until she was forced to stop. She always had tomato plants and later tomatoes which she shared and her walk was festooned with beautiful blooms leading you welcomingly to her door. A warm, giving person, she has been and will continue to be missed by me as someone who is richer for having known Clara Watson.

I have many fond memories of Aunt Clara. She lived near our home and we would often go to her house after school, just to say hi and maybe get a treat. She was always welcoming and kind to us kids. I especially appreciated how she took such good care of our grandma. I think she lived and helped care for her for about 3 years. And I remember her being irritated with the car dinging when she didn't wear her seatbelt, and how I though that was funny. This was in the early 1980s when it became law to wear seatbelts and if I remember right, she didn't like wearing her seatbelt so the car dinged at her constantly.

Clara was a great lady, wonderful baker and excellent at crocheting. She was always ready to help me when I would come over with a crochet mess and straighten me out. The kids always loved aunt clara for her understanding and generosity. She will be greatly missed. Ted and Vicky Watson

My condolences to the family. I remember walking through the orchard when I was young to her house and she always welcomed me. She was wonderful woman and I know she will be missed.

I offer my condolences to friends and family. Clara will be remembered as a kind and considerate mother-in-law and we will all miss her cinnamon rolls.
