To Uncle Bobby, Aunt Pat, and the Word family - You know Mamaw Word always treated me and my brother and my own kids as if we were her own grandkids - she was a very special lady. She never spoke an unkind word toward anyone, and we all know she was a Saint on Earth. Our loss is Heaven's gain, where she is now rejoicing with God and the Angels. I only wish we could have been there to say our final goodbyes to her, had the miles not separated us.
With Many Fond Loving Memories,

Jimmy, Bob, Bill and Families: I hope you know how much I thought of "Sis Jet". I remember meeting her when I entered the Fourth Grade, attended Warner Spur A/G where she attended all thru High School, and made it a point to visit her when I had reason to be back in Camden thru the years. I had a wonderful visit with her just over a year ago.
She made a major impact on my life and I know I will think of her often in years to come. I'm sure the entire Word Family feels honored to have had her in that family and I feel honored I had opportunity to know her. (Our loss; Heavens gain!)

We just read in the paper about Sister Jet Word’s home-going. She was a beautiful Christian all the years we knew her, raised a wonderful family and now she has gone to the home that she’s longed for and that Jesus prepared for her. We think of all of you a lot, still love all the people at Warner Spur. We are getting up there in years, but we have a lot of happy memories of the time we pastored there. God bless all of the Word family. We love you!

Aunt Jet was such a good example of what a christian saint should be. She leaves behind a real legacy because of her many years of dedication to serving Christ. She will never be forgotten. May we all strive to live life as she did. I know that she and Grandma Dickerson are having the time of their eternal lives. May God bring you peace and comfort as he now takes your mother and grandmother in to his care.
