Dear Cathy and Tom,
I am so sorry to read of the passing of your dear dad. He was a kind, gentle man whose cheerful demeanor uplifted anyone that stopped by. His leaving a money box unattended at the vegetable stand was a clear demonstration of his lack of cynicism in this otherwise often untrusting world.
We lived for years (until this past year) just on the corner of Ninth District and Main, frequently enjoying a quick walk down to the stand for some wonderful fresh produce, especially looking forward to the corn harvest.
Your parents were both lovely, honest folks. I know you had a upbringing to be most thankful for and that they're passing must leave a huge void in your lives.
May you be comforted by the One who promises comfort to the mourning, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. And may you be encouraged by the legacy of your parents and the hope of heaven where we might rejoice eternally together in the presence and glory of Jesus Christ, our LORD and Savior. I encourage you to read 2 Corinthians, verses 1-6, especially, as a reminder about the Comforter that is available to you today.
Blessings,
Judy (Klaczak) McCulloch
