His songs that just made you rock and bounce. I attended his live performance in Cleveland, Moon Dog Ball around 1987. The crowd was rocking for sure. You just smiled when you heard him singing. Contagious, a good thing.

Uncle Frogman was one of a kind. He always had a story to tell whether it was good or bad about anybody or anything! He didn't hide his true feelings about anything! He didn't take no prisoners. If he had something to say he was going to say it, and didn't care about your feels. That was Frogman gotta love him for being him. Tehehehe! My hat goes off to his daughter Kathy Henry the world witness her on the local news caring for her dad during his time of need during the storm. The whole world witnessed the love she shown for her dad when no one else did without having their hands out! My condolences goes out to all of his 10 children and grandchildren they all Love their grandpaw and dad tremendously! I pray that the day come when they stand before the decision maker and express all of their concerns. Frogman was loved not only by his family and friends but the entire world loved them some
" Frogman Henry."

Rest well in your new home!

I met Frogman on my first night in New Orleans on August 31, 1962 at the Court of Two Sisters. I returned very often, even more so when I moved to the Quarter. Spent one Christmas Day with him and his family in Algiers. Also went on road trips with him, posing as his "road manager" in Thibodeaux to avoid hassle from rural cops who objected to my talking with him. After I left N.O. in 1978, I would run into him at performances in Florida. Always greeted by warm and genuine friendliness. Frog was an unassuming and down-to-earth guy. I am glad and lucky to have known him. He was a credit to the cultural heritage of New Orleans. My sincerest sympathies to his family.

My condolences to the Henry family! What wonderful childhood memories seeing Mr. Henry preforming at Murray Henderson Elementary School in Algiers (New Orleans) during the sixties. Where his children Charles, Gwen and Linda also attended. Thank you for the sweet memories Mr.Henry! As an adult I saw Mr. Henry coming out of Ace Hardware Store in Algiers. I told my husband that´s Frogman one of New Orleans famous singers from the sixties. He said you don´t know that man. I got out of our car and approached Mr. Henry, I asked him could I please get an autograph. He said come by the house around 4:00. My daughter´s wanted autograph too. When we arrived at Mr.Henry´s home he warmly invited us in and gave us a tour! There was hundreds of pictures all over his wall of famous people like the Beatles, Queen Elizabeth of England and other celebrities! We were like kids in a candy store admiring all those photos! Mr. Clarence "Frogman " Henry signed photos for us and also signed two CD´s. We were so happy and thanked him for his time! Those are beautiful memories I will never forget of Mr. Henry! I know his family is going to miss him. Just remember all those happy times you all shared with your father! Love, Denise Allison-Burns and family!

My condolences and prayers to the family of Mr. Clarence "Frogman" Henry. I first remember him from when I was a young girl growing up on Whitney Ave. I attended school with a few of his older children, and I even had the pleasure to teach some of his children at L. B. Landry High School. "Frogman" was always a kind and friendly person to me. God rest his soul in Heavenly peace, and let the perpetual light shine upon him!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. My favorite memories of Frog is at the Jazz Festival when he would invite me and my family ...Elmore Patin, Barbara Patin, and my son Corey... backstage to watch him perform. Watching him and the crowds enjoying his performances was something we looked forward to every year. Rest in heaven Frog. Not lonely anymore, joining my dad and mom laughing til the sun comes up. You are sorely missed.
Condolences to the family.
Sincerely,
Bernadette Patin-Broussard and family.

I'll never forget being introduced to you in front of your place in New Orleans, then promptly singing "I Don't Know Why, But I Do" to you and your entourage. I knew all the words, even though I was only 9 years old when that song came out. You were so nice, and seated us in the front right at the stage. Thank you for your music, and may you rest in peace.
