Spike, I´ve been thinking about the anniversary of your passing for awhile now. Having to jump head first into your shoes to care for mom, gatsby and the home you built hasn´t been easy! Putting out mice traps, fixing the dryer and the plethora of other tasks reminds me daily of the overwhelming loss your family, friends and loved ones feel. I have felt and seen you on numerous occasions checking in. Keep it up!

My condolences to the family. I have many good memories of cousin Spike. My only regret is that I did not get to see Spike or his sister Ruthe after I moved back north before they passed away. Rest in Peace Cousin Spike

I am so sorry to hear that Spike passed. He was my first friend when I moved to Colrain. He lived across the street from me and came over full of good conversation. He told me the history of our street and all the apple orchards he planted. What a kind and thoughtful neighbor he was. My condolences to his family.

So sad to hear this news. Spike was certainly one of my favorites, even named a rat after him...which thought was hilarious. He was ever caring and devoted to family and friends, it was clear to see why he was so loved.
My condolences to Reita and the family. May he rest peacefully and may you all find comfort in your memories.

So sorry to hear of Spike´s passing. While I haven´t had much of a chance to really talk with Spike since he retired from Dole Brothers, I always enjoyed our chats about farming, snowmobiling, NASCAR, you name it, we could talk about it for hours. RIP Spike.

Spike, it´s hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that you won´t be coming home. You were the rock that kept it all together. I came across a sweatshirt mom got you for Christmas one year that says "keep calm and let Spike handle it". That´s the epitome of YOU. We could always count on you to handle literally anything (with the exception of computers). You will be dearly missed by your family and many many many people whose lives you touched along the way. Love, Char

So sorry to hear of Spike's passing. We worked together often when I worked for the Dole Bothers. He was very kind and fun loving. He always had a chuckle. He taught me a lot about carpentry. Haven't seen him often in the last 20 years, but he always brought a smile to my face. A good soul. RIP Spike.

We are so saddened by this news. Spike had a great impact on our lives when we lived in East Colrain. We could not have succeeded in building a place of our dream in the mountains. Our hearts go out to Reita and the family. We will always remember Spike and how much he meant to us. How he warmed our home up as we traveled Friday nights from Long Island. He was always ready to offer help when needed.
