Bink & I were classmates from 5th grade at Chestnut Hill Academy through four years at Princeton. At CHA he was such an outstanding and respected student that he always held a leadership role, and from freshman to senior year he was elected class president which was only one of many responsibilities that he undertook. He was active in many sports to include being our pitcher on the varsity baseball team. I can unhesitatingly state that he was the most beloved member of our class due to not only his serious approach to academics and activities but also to his humor and wit. His fun-loving attitude accompanied by humility and concern for others always made him a pleasure to be around. These same attributes brought him recognition at Princeton such that he was involved in many class-of-62 activities and was elected president for a 5-year term. My wife Jayne and I always looked forward to our CHA and Princeton reunions knowing that we would spend time with Bink and Patty. When returning to Philadelphia, a must within our itinerary was always a trip to Blue Bell, PA and the Wurts’ estate where we could reminisce and enjoy banter with Bink who always kept us laughing. I remain grateful for having known and for having been a friend of Bink, whose integrity, character and humor made my life more worthwhile. Bink, thank you for being you! With love and prayers, Tony & Jayne Abbott.

Binky hired me as a broker at Philadelphia Investors in 1994. We worked together day in and day out until he retired in 2018. He was a boss, a mentor, a colleague and a friend. We respected each others' investment ideas, and regularly talked about non-business subjects. He was always so happy to hear about my kids and their activities and achievements. Since his retirement, we spoke every day that the market was open; first thing in the morning, at the market close, and often in the middle of the day. It was a privilege to work with him all these years, and an honor to be trusted with his business. I feel his absence and not talking to him has left a void in my day. May he rest in peace, and his memory be a blessing.

Bink and I were friends since the early 1960s when we were young commercial bankers. We played men´s double tennis at the Philadelphia Cricket Club for more hours than I can count and where our humorous ad hominem attacks on our opponents were equal to the high level tennis. His lads Ben and Charlie became friends as well. Patty is as lovely today as when I met her in the 1960s. His death diminishes me greatly as I have lost a friend of many years: A friend of grace, great character, integrity with a sense of humor second to none other. God speed Clarence. With many fond memories of a wonderful, long friendship together, Jerry Quill.
