Clarice Irene Caporusso

Redding - Clarice passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on May 27, 1929 to Clifford and Dagmar Andersen.

Clarice was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and great grandma who will be deeply missed. She was an excellent cook and loved hosting family gatherings. She loved decorating for all the holidays, especially Christmas. At Christmas she would make hundreds of cookies every year to share with family and friends. Clarice liked to work in her yard and had a large garden every year plus many fruit and nut trees. She was all about family and loved hers dearly.

Clarice graduated from Shasta High School in 1947. She worked for the Shasta County Sheriff's Office until she took an early retirement just before her first child Renee was born. From then on she kept busy taking care of her family, home and yard. We appreciate all that she did for us; we had the best family life anyone could ever have thanks to her.

Clarice was a charter member of the Sons of Italy. She also volunteered at Mercy Hospital as a Pink Lady.

Clarice was preceded in death by her husband Joe and her four siblings Arleen, Verlyn, Ardith and Darrel. She is survived by her children Renee (Bob) and Jim (Angi); her grandchildren Shelley (Richard), Katie (Matt); and great grandchildren Cameron and Madison.

A service is planned for June 16th at 11AM at the Veterans Cemetery. Clarice will be laid to rest with her husband Joe's ashes.

A reception will follow the service.
