Susan A. Rubis

Susan A. Kralik Rubis, 83, of Dawson, went to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, March 26, 2005, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Jacobs Creek, March 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Kralik. Susan was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, and a member of Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society. Susan leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted children, Gail Klejka and her husband, Stanley, of Mt. Pleasant, David Rubis and his wife, Nancy, of Venetia, Gregory Rubis and his wife, Cathy, of Perryopolis, and Kathy Kreinbrook and her husband, Doug, of Dawson; her brother, Joseph Kralik, of Mt. Lebanon; her 10 grandchildren, Lisa Myers and her husband, Charles, of Tarrs, Carol Klejka, of Latrobe, Amy Noel and her husband, Mike, of Greensburg, Amanda Rubis, of Norvelt, Ashley and Chelsey Kreinbrook, of Dawson, Nick and Sarah Rubis, of Venetia, John and Caitlin Fidel; and her two great-grandsons, Eric and Evan Myers, of Tarrs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas "Nick" Rubis, who died Aug. 11, 2000; brother, John P. Masick, who died April 21, 1963; and sister, Magdaline Snyder, who died in June 1981. Susan's family will greet friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Monday from noon to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by her funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. Leonard W. Stoviak as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township. A parish wake service will be held Monday afternoon in the funeral home and the Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society will recite the rosary Monday in the funeral home.
