Claudio,
Thank you for everything you did for Rich and for all of those who you served and led over the years. Every single day you were just like a father to him: a true role model, loving, fun, and with high expectations for yourself and for others. He has always strived to make you proud, and you would be so happy for him now.

To the Garcia family,
Mr. Garcia, was my first principal and education mentor when I was a teacher at Orange Grove. Mr. Garcia was brilliant as a professional and a proven humanitarian. He was a man of great conviction who was never afraid to take a risk for the betterment of others. He made the world a better place and will be unmatched. He was like what Stevie Ray Vaughn was to blues, Mr. Garcia was to Education. I salute you sir and know that you will make even heaven, better than it was. Thank you for being part of my life. See you on the high ground sir,

Claudio was the first Principal to ever "open" a brand new high school in CyFair and come from another district. He was the perfect choice. I had the honor of working with him through the many challenges we faced during those first four years. I have the greatest respect for him and many fond memories. He will always be in my heart and am blessed to have known him.

Mr. Garcia was a man of great compassion and love towards people. He helped my family at some of our most trying times and for that I am eternally thankful. The reason his passing is so hard is because his impact on our lives was so great! So I will cry and my heart will be sad because he will be missed. We can take comfort in remembering the good times seeing him at the games, riding on his cart, walking down the halls, and never forgetting those little bow legs at every event!
Thank you Mr. Garcia for demonstrating unconditional love which is the love of GOD!

I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Mr. Claudio Garcia when I subbed at Cy Ridge High School. Having subbed in the Cy Fair Ind. School District now for 11 years, I have had the opportunity of meeting the principals of the schools where I subbed, and I can honestly say that Mr. Garcia always made me feel welcome at Cy Ridge when I had the occasion to see him in the halls while I was going to classes. He always had a smile on his face when he greeted me and extended a strong, friendly hand shake. I was truly sorry to hear of his passing. My sincerest condolences to Mr. Garcia's family, and, especially to Mr. Cory Garcia, Mr. Garcia's brother with whom I befriended while subbing at Dean Middle School. Cory and I had had a lot of fun when we chatted and visited when I was at Dean.
Cory and Claudio were very much alike...same humor, outgoingness, friendliness, and deep devotion to their staffs and students. It has been an honor and privilege knowing these outstanding human beings.

It is with sadness that a dear friend, Claudio, has gone where we all hope to be in due time. He was one of the lions that helped move Orange Grove High School into new heights. It was a great loss to the students when he left Orange Grove. Fortunately he was able to touch many more lives in his 41 years in education. A Job well done, my friend!!!!

Mindy and Veronica, I had the pleasure of working with your dad and mom at Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco High Schooll and elementary school. I even taught you Mindy in Pre-K and we road together to school. I am so sad to hear of your dad's passing. He was a wonderful man and he loved to play jokes on me when we worked together. I will always remember his smile and his crazy sense of humor. You should feel so proud of the many lives he touched. I know that this is a very difficult time for you, but he will live forever in your hearts and know that he is in paradise watching over his loved ones especially you and your families. May God Bless you and I love you girls. May he Rest In Peace.

Claudio led his students and staff with fairness, love and true devotion. He was a loving father figure, a passionate leader, a man with class and eloquence and a rebel with a cause. He was dedicated to every student group and attended so many events, games, concerts and meetings I wondered when Anna got to see him! He was my husband's mentor and was so kind to me and our daughter. He always treated us like his family too. His passing was so unexpected it seems we have suddenly dropped off a cliff. If we had though, I've no doubt he would have been below to catch us.

My condolences to Mr. Garcia's family, both personal and professional. He taught and coached me at Skidmore-Tynan. He kept our biology class disciplined with good humor---I can still hear and see him say that'll be a mark with a slight grin. He had a knack for knowing when to push me and when to pick me up, whether I was dissecting a frog, doing tackling drills, or running 16x200 repeats when it was so dark we couldn't see each other across the part-time cow pasture that served as our track.
Reading the tributes and watching the slide show, I'm reminded how small a part of Mr. Garcia's life we were, but what a large part of so many lives he was and will continue to be. I hope that the love from his communities comforts his family through this difficult time and beyond.

What a "Wonderful and Honorable Man" I have worked in 4 schools in Cyfair ISD and out of all the Principals that I have encountered Mr. Claudio Garcia, was one of the most open and inviting Principals that I met. He offered me a Life time contract to work at Cy Ridge, we laughed about it but he was serious. He believe in giving service to both staff and students, his approach was never fake. That man was love and service and he gave it to every one who met him and was taught by him.The world has lost a great force of good.
How do you measure a great man? You measure them by how many people that they have touched, taught, trained, and loved in their lifetime. Mr. Garcia will live in us all.Peace and Love to the Garcia family and his Cy Fair School District Family.

Deepest sympathies and condolences to the family as you grieve Claudio's loss. May you receive some comfort as you read the remembrances from the many, many people at each stop in his life and career that he affected. Although I was grown and had moved away from Skidmore when he and Mike Rheinlander coached there, my family always spoke fondly of him and he was a "standout" in the endless string of coaches who moved through town. My brother, David DuBose, especially enjoyed him as his track coach. He had boundless energy and enthusiasm, ethics and warmth that he shared freely with all who crossed his path. Hugs and prayers as you learn to live without him. He will continue to live on through your lives and memories. Thanks so much for making and sharing the video. It was wonderful to see you girls as you were in Skidmore and as you grew up and started your own lives and to see your dad as the young "difference maker" I remembered grow into the influential man he became. The love he shared with each of you was evident. Take comfort in your faith.

Mr. Garcia is such an amazing man with the wisdom of Buddha. Mr. G was a strong leader that saw a person's potential and help them achieve it. I know that I would not be the leader I am and am still becoming if it was not for his teaching and love.
When Mr. G would say "What shenanigans are those little hooligans up to?" I was worried he was talking about me. His humor and stories will always remain as strong memories for me.
He always treated me and my family as part of his own family. He is and will always be greatly missed. I will always remember the lessons he has taught and those yet for us to realize were taught and are still to be discovered.
Anna, Mindy and Veronica you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers

There are not words to express the impact Claudio had on people. If you ever had the gift of working with him or knowing him, you understand. He had "IT"! He was the person that made you want to give 150% all the time. I am blessed to have been hired as an original Ram and then again when moving back to Houston, along with my late husband. You taught us all to be the best that we can be. To his amazing family please find a bit of comfort in knowing and understanding the impact your husband, father, brother, and grandfather has made on so many people in this big world. I know your world is upside down right now, but do know you all are in our prayers and will continue to be. Claudio's smile and spirit touched so many and will continue to do so every day. CG is the standard that many do and all should strive to hold themselves too. God Bless, my prayers are with you all.

I am saddened to hear about Claudio's passing. I am one of the many teachers he hired when he first opened CyRidge High School. The day he hired me was the beginning of a long and pleasant relationship. Over the years, I realized what a caring individual he was and how he cared for not only the staff but also all the students. He always emphasized the need to be united as a family and the need to support each other to achieve our ultimate goals. His friendship towards everyone and his beautiful personality will forever be remembered. He was a great leader and his contribution to education will never be forgotten. My condolences to his entire family and may God bring them comfort during this difficult time.

He spoke numerous times to the staff about this and how true it is.

I was extremely proud to be a part of the Cy-Ridge family, and it was just that a family. That was in large part to the leadership and care of Claudio. I remember he would remind us at the start of the year to "take care of our kids." He said, there won't be enough desks, there will be schedule errors. So just take care of the kids, and everything will be fine." He was a quiet but strong presence, and he let people develop past their strengths and grow into opportunities. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Anna,
I was so saddened to learn of Claudio's passsing. I thank God that I got to know both of you through our common bond of educating children. Mr. Garcia was the best example of a true leader. He acted with integrity both personally and professionally, raised people up along the way then launched them. He possessed grace and compassion even when standing his ground, and boy, did he stand his ground. His great sense of humor made for many funny stories, especially when regaling others with his chihuahua interactions! I am honored to have known him and to have worked for him. Blessings to his family. You all are in the hearts and prayers of many.

Mr. Garcia was always kind to me and treated me well when I was a student at Orange Grove High school. I have often thought of him over the years and always thankful for the positive influence he had on me. I will always think of him and so sorry to hear of his passing.

Had my boiled egg from homemaking class as my baby in a bag in my pocket, you know those projects where you act like a parent. Somebody threw something across the room and Coach Garcia wanted to know who did it.He started checking our stuff, came to me pulled the bag out of my pocket and threw it on the table, my baby cracked. .His favorite saying was you knoootttheads!!! Mindy,
Our deepest condolences to your entire family. Your dad was an exemplary Principal and truly respected by all. Whether it was at a football game, UIL Theater, or Choir event, to name just a few, we could always count on seeing him there supporting his RAMS! He truly was an honorable man and an inspiration to all.
With our deepest sympathy,
Mike and Carol Tegethoff and Family

My deepest condolences to your family. While I never had the opportunity to meet the family, I know how much Claudio loved you. He spoke of his family so often-it's like I did know you all. He was by far the biggest influencer of my teaching career and I know he is resting in God's eternal place--with Grace. He will be greatly missed but forever remembered.
