Clay MINTER Obituary
News Death Notice
MINTER, Clay Clifford age 54, a lifetime resident of Somerville, took his meeting with the Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2012. He was born in Hamilton on January 6, 1958. He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife Melinda; loving children and beloved grandchildren, Krista (Jeff) Stephen and children Taylor, Austin and Zoe; Clint Minter and children Shelby and Conner; Kelda (Paul) Gross and children Brianna, Abigail, and Mackenzie; Cassandra (Dwayne) Minter and child Dalton Clay; his adored parents Vernon and Linda Marcum; four beautiful sisters, Starlene (Rory) Rumpler, Vernetta (Jeff) Wyatt, Kim (Jeff) Drillien, and Rhonda Marcum; and his special men at home, Malcolm and Matthew Collier. Special prayers to Clay's paternal family, especially Aunt Chris Newland. There is not time or space to acknowledge all his nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who will miss him terribly. He is preceded in death by his grandma, Daphne Frazier Newton; mother, Janet Minter Phelps; aunt Phyllis Gabbard; and many others. Special thanks to Somerville Fire Department volunteers, squad drivers, and the medical staffs at McCullough-Hyde and Fort Hamilton Hospitals, especially the ICU staff. Funeral service will be held at the Somerville Presbyterian Church, 207 Walnut Street, Somerville, Ohio 45064 on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry Davis of Hamilton Assembly of God officiating. Burial will follow in Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. I knew Clay when he was a little child. Sorry to hear of his passing. I watched him play ball as a young man. I will never forget the trip we took together with family to Toledo when he was young boy. He was a loving, caring young boy who loved his late Mom, Janet Frazier. God bless his soul.

Clay has always been in my memories was just thinking about him a week or so ago, passed a ball field I stated thinking about the games we played.He is surely missed Prayers

melinda and all, clay will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him!!! I have known you all my whole life and you both are very wonderful people. Clay is now your angel and watching over you everyday and up in heaven singin and having a good time with daddy and grandma linda where they are all pain free and in the arms of the angels under gods supervision, one day you two will meet again and it will be like he never left, until then keep your head high and and remember the good memories and just know you have many friends and family to help you through this and that love you both.
