Driving south will never be the same, my heart says “ Shelby Drive exit- drive to the house”
I can’t. There’s no need.
You are not there.
I miss you still
No one even compares
Wish there was more time, but our time was really special.
I miss you still

Uncle Clay, something was unique about today. As I listened to music you played as I grew up.. I thought of you. You were one of a kind. I miss you still. I know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I am grateful for the time we spent- secret conversations we had..laughs between us.
I miss you still. Rest, love your niece; Marie

My Uncle, and I say this with pride as if you belong to me. Uncle Clay was a unique individual. As my cousin said, Clay Wilson was a "Man's ,Man's!
My heartaches because I miss you so much. I know that you want me to live life.
You have allowed me to experience Pure Love - true love from an honorable black man. Thank you!
Your presence has impacted my life in such a special way.
I wish that we could have one more moment, hour, day... together. However, I understand that it was time for you to be embraced by grandma, granddaddy, Aunt Gladys, Uncle Jimmy and your others siblings- ( Uncle Larry)I knew that the love we offered didn't compare to theirs so you had to go home. I know that you are safe in the arms of Almighty God. Nonetheless, I miss you so. .. :) and I will love you forever

We have truly enjoyed our time with Clay. Although I have only known him for a short time, I enjoyed him schooling me and me schooling him (a few times lol) on the pool table. We love you and will truly miss you. Doris and the family are in our prayers.
