Dear Norma,

Our apologies for not having remembered Clayton sooner, but we only learned of his passing this evening.

Our memories of Clayton are Rotary related.

Rosemary got to know him while working at the office for the RI Convention.

My memories of Clayton were in the Calgary South Club and when he visited the White Rock Club.

He was a fine man and an outstanding Rotarian who will be long remembered for his kindness and generosity.

The two of you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Rosemary & Bob Shumka
White Rock BC

Norma and Family

My first introduction to Clayton was when our family moved to Sunalta in 1957 and became next door neighbours. As a young teen, I spent many hours in their basement honing my pool skills, and eventually Clayton provided many years of summer employment at Pioneer Paving.

Clayton, not only in stature, but with his strength and spirit, will always be remembered.

Our thoughts are with you all.

Clayton Carroll had a live well lived. I hope the Carroll family will take comfort in that. My Dad, Fred Hammill, worked with Clayton both at the Ogden gun shop during the war as well as Hammill Motors. He was greatly respected by my parents and I heard many great stories over the years. God Bless.

Dear Norma
I am sorry to hear about Clayton.
I had the privilege of meeting Clayton when I worked at the Charolais Office. He was a true gentleman and so easy to work with and helpful whenever possible. We worked on some Charolais World Show & Sale events, as well as the International Charolais Federations when they were held in Calgary. I know he will be missed by many people in many walks of life

My name is Alex Kamis , whom I worked for Clayton back in 1975 for 3 years.
I could remember working on Barlow Trail , paving the airport project. Mrs. Carrol and Clayton, in his brown cadilac would drive by with boxes, of fried chicken on weekends, for the asphalt crews, to have thier dinner.
Because of Clayton Carrol, I have had a chance to discover on what I wanted to do in life .
I became one of the owners of Alsa Road Construction Ltd, Just want to say ,Thank you .

There is a special Angel in Heaven
that is part of me.
It is not where I wanted him
but where God wanted him to be.
He was here but just a moment
like a night time shooting star.
And though he is in Heaven
he isn't very far.
He touched the heart of many
like only an Angel can do.
So I send this special message
to the Heaven up above.
Please take care of my Angel
and send him all my love.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
