Mr. Washington was fondly remembered by my father as a good man and friend. To me, he was an inspiration. He was a man who stood out in a crowd not just because of his height, but also because of his caring, kindness and strenght of character. He had great wisdom if you sought it out from him, and he was willing to share. I am grateful to have known him and learned from him as my principal at Phoebus HS. He was a blessing to us all.

Mr. Washington was my principle at Phoebus High School C/o 1994. What a great guy, really done me a huge favor that I did not realize at the time. I was misbehaving and he called me into his office and informed me that he was disappointed "to say it lightly". He went further and had me check in with him and inform him of my grades and obstacles. Thanks Mr. Washington, you will be missed.

Mr. Washington was a very kind man. He was my principal at C. Alton Lindsay. He always made a point to speak with me everyday at lunch. He would come into the cafeteria and have conversations with the students. Mr. Washington made a life long impression on me. I have never forgotten his caring attitude. Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers.
