My condolences to the entire family.
Many businesses have come and gone but Lucky Strike and Charlie Dugre made Aldenville. My parents met there and I grew up on hamburg specials and fries. Charlie never fooled around behind that counter as it was all business. He gave me my first job at 15 and taught me what hard work was.
Thank you Mr. Dugre

Charlie always had a smile, when we were kids after school we stopped into Lucky's for a soda, he let us stay only long enough to drink our soda, then we had to leave, Charlie made the no Loitering Rule, hit the road kids, when you were a adult you could spent all day there, Loved Him. RIP MY FRIEND Tom Guenette

Charlie was a really great man. Gave me my first job, probably getting a few extra grey hairs from me for it. Taught a great work ethic.
Thoughts and prayer to the family during this hard time.

Condolences to the entire Dugre Family. I knew Charlie since he had the luncheonette over the bowling alley. Loved when they moved to the new restaurant and the Christina room addition. He instilled a great work ethic in our Sons who all worked there. It was a thriving restaurant with delicious home style cooked food. A friendly man to all you will be missed. May you Rest In Peace.

Charlie was a great guy who worked hard to serve the community for decades. Imagine the number of special occasions and moments made there at Luckys. He certainly instilled a good work ethic which has served me well to this day. God speed Charlie. You can now be with Claire. Condolences to the entire Dugre clan. We lost a good one. May memories comfort you during this time. Pete Gaudet

Marc, Mike and your extended families please accept my deepest sympathy for the passing of your Dad. His love of life and the well being of those that he came in contact with will be remembered by all who knew him for years to come. He was always a great guy who enjoyed his work in service to others.
May he enjoy only the best days going forward at the right hand of God as he watches over you from above.
Sincerely,
Mike

Uncle Charlie, an Aldenville Icon - When people ask me where I am from they seldom have heard of Aldenville but they all heard of Lucky Strike Restaurant - I have fond memories of several joyous times at family functions held here - He had a very generous way in dealing with people and always had a kind word, especially if the Yankees won the night before - You will be missed but not forgotten

My deepest sympathy is with the entire Dugre family. I remember Charlie as far back as the mid 50s, when I visited Lucky Strike as an airman, while stationed at Westover. He ran a tight ship but kept things rolling smoothly. He will truly be missed. R.I.P.

Charlie will be missed. He always treated his customers like family. He worked the grill like a symphony conductor. Condolences to his wonderful family and employees.

In loving memory of Charlie, my memories are fond of him and my experiences at the restaurant as well with Marc and Michael. What a great family. I remember doing my paper route in the late 60's and on my way past Lucky Strike, I would stop in and buy a vanilla milk shake and then finish my route. My mother, Simone, would wonder why I wasn't very hungry when I came home at dinner time after finishing delivering the newspapers. Charlie was such a "staple" of our community and voice of wisdom for all young people. I will miss him no doubt.

We offer our sincere condolences to the Dugre family. Charlie was an Icon in Aldenville and beloved by so many. Our family’s business has been on Grattan Street since 1949, just after Charlie opened The Lucky Strike. There has been a bond between our families that spans generations. We will forever cherish his memory.

Charlie was the best. I used to wait on him at Michaels Chateau Provost. Whenever I went to breakfast on a Sunday, Charlie was cooking with his daughter. I spent many many years eating there and loved Charlie and all his staff. I’m so sorry for his passing but I know he lived a great life.
