Clement was my best friend in the 8th grade at St Anne's and in Kaaawa. Though I hadn't seen him since we were teens my heart is deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the world has lost a wonderful person. I don't know anything about how his life turned out but there's no doubt in my mind that he brought joy to everyone he met.

My dearest pal from grade school and then hanging with the same crowd in high school and recently our connection again with visits with crazy Terri when she was in town. These memories brighten my day and bring a smile that takes me an extra mile. You bring true meaning to friendship and I will remain connected thru our moms that share a loving friendship with each other. Aloha my dearest friend until we meet again.

Dearest Cuz..This doesn't happen often, but I am still without words...The tears of loss and sorrow still flow...But the goofy, sweet memories I will now keep after sharing a few w/your ohana...I can still see you cheating us at cards at Uncle Doug's house, taking all our pennies...I can still hear you telling us spook stories when trying to sleep in the ditch out front...I can still see you holding the surfboard in the trunk of Grandpa Hardy's cadillac with all of us packed inside driving back from Kahana Bay...You always pestered us and tormented us, teased us and made us laugh...I will always treasure you, Brother Boy...I will always cherish those memories of Kaaawa and the days of past...I love you and miss you terribly, and I will never look upon Kaaawa again without seeing you again...Aloha oe, Cuz...Until we meet again...I'll bring the cards...

Heaven must have needed some laughter!
Our deepest sympathies extend to all of you on your loss. Take it one day at a time and at some point the sorrow will be overshadowed by happy memories and laughter. Lucas will help you to overcome. I remember one of the last things Clem said, "Lucas toys are all over the place, I love it!!!"
Take care and may God bless all of you.

To the Padeken Ohana,
I want to express my sincere condolences to you in these difficult times. I didn't know Clem as long as most but I will be forever grateful for having been blessed by his presence in my life. His heart and willingness to help everyone he met is something that I will take with me wherever I go. He was taken away from everyone way too soon, but I like to believe that God had to bring him home to make heaven an even better place.
Aloha Clem! Though you may be gone you will never be forgotten because a piece of you lives in all of us.

Braddah Clem, Cuz, my friend from years past at St Annes School. The reunion after 40 some years was a blessing. You remained unchanged with your aloha spirit, your big heart and your wise cracks. You left a lasting impression in my heart and I am blessed to have known you. The love for your Ohana just priceless! Now who is going to take my husband fishing, was looking forward to you meeting him. Your words to me once was no need sleep much while we are here, plenty time for that when we go. Now I know you are resting well in our Fathers House! Thank You for the good times shared in the last couple years! My love and aloha to your wife and daughters and Lucas the man who brought so many smiles on his 1 year journey. You will be missed and Kaawa won't be the same without you. But I know you are in a safe place! RIP my friend!

So sad to hear this news. My heart goes out to all his family. Life is so unfair at times. Clem and I were part of the Damien Boys who joined the Navy and the All Hawaii company. By stroke of luck we ended up being assigned to the USS RANGER. We spent 3 1/2 years with that ship. 18 yrs old to 22 yrs old. If you guys know Clem - you can imagine how much fun we had during those days. We always had something going on. Cruising in his Jeep all over Washington, Oregon, San Diego, and Los Angeles. We would visit his Uncle's and Aunties in Oregon and Eagle Rock. They always treated us so well. Clem was so cool, many times if he had to work and I was off - he would tell me "Take da Jeep". I have a favorite picture of him driving my Corvette down to Oregon on the Highway. I took it from his Jeep as we traded cars on the way. I remember one car went blazing by us and I gave him the signal "go get him"!!! He had a big smile like "shoots" and off he went down the road - 19 yr old kid in a Big Block Corvette!!! We had 4 good years getting into all kinds of adventures. Even on the ship where he was doing one of the most dangerous jobs in the world - recovering Aircraft on the flight Deck of a Carrier. You had to be some kind of character to do that. Many times Clem would sneak me on deck with all the Arresting Gear uniforms - helmets, glasses - you not supposed to be up there - but there I would be hanging out with Clem as these fighter jets came slamming in. I'm sure we saw each other every day for those years. So many memories of us laughing and hanging out. Man, did we have fun. When I think of him in my mind I always see him laughing! Gonna miss you bruddah!!

My dearest brother, I miss you so very much. I miss the sound of your commanding voice, I miss the sound of your footsteps aas you come downstairs to make your morning joe. I miss your presence in the garage, always on the computer or fixing something mechanical. I miss you brother, greeting me when I come home to Kaaawa Julynne really, really misses you. Kanoe & Kanani are sad too, crying at any moment. Mom is the rock, always prepared and taking charge with Kanani, who is helping her mom. Dad, well, he is so very distraught, crying uncontrollably from time to time. Kaowaka is here to help in every which way. And Keala, your nephew sometimes son, is immensely saddened. Me, well, you're my "Goldust" twin. 11 months apart, that's all, that's why I feel this big puka in my heart. We all know that you are with our Lord and aunties, uncles, cousins and friends who were there to greet you at the pearly white gates. You must be saying to us from afar, "stop your crying, be strong, life goes on", enjoy it, love it and be prepared to meet our Lord, cause it can come at any time. Oh brother, I miss you, I miss you dearly. Love your SISTA
