Clifford Cone passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 80. A celebration of life devotional will be held Saturday, November 1 at 1 p.m. at the Atlas Fellowship Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Born February 15, 1945, in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Lovington, New Mexico, Clifford earned a degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University and worked in the oil and gas industry in Lubbock.

He was devoted to his Christian faith, serving many years with the Broadway Church of Christ Student Center in Lubbock and generously supporting the spread of the gospel in the U.S. and abroad throughout his life. He enjoyed skiing, fly fishing, traveling, studying the Bible and inviting others out for a good meal.

Clifford is survived by siblings Cathie McCown and Tom Cone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Kathleen Cone, and brothers Douglas and Ken Cone.
