Clifford KIPLING

We met Cliff and Heather at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria BC in 1994
Since that time we have exchanged Christmas cards every year whilst he was in Edmonton and in Hawaii
We thought it strange when we didn't get one this year because Cliff's was always the first to arrive
We will miss him and offer our condolences to all of his family

I'm really sad to see that Cliff has passed. I've been booking his trips to Hawaii for the last 5 or so years and had the opportunity to build a great relationship with him. I will always miss his sense of humour and kindness. My sincere condolences to his family and friends, Cliff was a great man.

We had the pleasure of meeting Cliff at Heidi's in Hawaii last November when we sang old North of England songs with him and he gave us some black bullet sweets. We thought of him when we were back in England last week and were so sorry to hear today of his passing.

Steve,Radhika and Selena, so sorry to hear of your great loss.We had the honour of spending the past 12 yrs.[month of Nov.]with Cliff in Hawaii. The talks at the Banyan pool deck are legendary . Cliff was a proud Canadian but kept his English accent when needed... was also part Hawaiian [so he said] He was stubborn..if you told him not to do something he would be sure to do it....like climb Diamond Head two yrs. ago ...once the top was reached someone asked his age ...cheers followed. Cliff will be sadly missed by the staff of the "Waikiki Banyan" ...favourite waitresses ....venders at the swap meet. Cliff was always searching for a book or that special gift for Selena. He loved his family and said so often. It will be a hard Nov. this year without Cliff but stories will be told and Cliff's memories will not be forgotten ....by us or any of his Waikiki friends.

Very sad to hear of Cliff passing away. Got to know him on the deck of the Waikiki Banyan in Honolulu, his trips to the various flea markets always on the lookout for a gift or two or three for his granddaughter. He had many friends in Hawaii. Forever an English gentleman.
