Cliff, I will always remember all the stories you told about the war and about New York City. It was always a bright moment when you would come to the office and sit in that chair by my desk. I knew that for a few minutes you would brighten my day with a "Good Morning" and a story to follow! You will be dearly missed. Now you are with Ginny again! Love always, Vivian

Cliff, when my father died you comforted me. When Nick was in Karate, you were there. When Nick was bowling, you were there. When the Grandkids had birthdays, you were there. You were there for Graduations, Birthdays, weddings and Christmas. You ARE family and will always be. I will remember every "Aw Jeez", every "did I tell you about..." (when you told us over and over again), every funny story about the Army Air Corps: getting shot down and being picked up by a submarine, being chased by the Azores police and making them fly off the cliff, delivering the Major's wife's baby in the back of a car, etc, every nurse you flirted with and every dear friend you made.
Thank you for making us your family.
I miss you but am so happy you are with your beloved wife again.

There will never be another person who can whistle and tell stories as well as Cliff did at Regal Palms. I/we sure do miss his joy. He always 'lit-up' the room. Miss ya, Cliff Rest in Eternal Peace.

To my friend Cliff, It was always my pleasure and your great story telling to have you on my bus as your driver for The Palms of Largo. I'm sure they were all true because your strong Catholic faith would not let you lie! You were one of the millions of our Country's Greatest Generation during WW2 and one of the very fotunate servicemen to return home and enjoy a very productive and long life. My favorite story was when your badly damaged bomber had to be abandoned over the English Channel returning to England. You made it out of your nose gunner turret and landed in the very cold water which you said you could still feel later in life. You were floating, thankful but wondering whats next and then a submarine rose up next you and brought you on board. When the Captain asked you what you needed, you politely asked for a room with a view!! You told me you were allowed to look thru the periscope sometimes and you spent some time there until being returned to shore. When you were dicharged from the Army Air Corps, you were hoping to have some Navy time too!! Yes, dear Cliff, that story had to be true!! Myself and so many others from the Palms will miss you, but you are flying in the clouds again in very good company and God is now your Pilot. Forever in our hearts and memories, your Palms Transportation Driver and friend, John Brannan.
