Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney has been a great friend and supporter of the 9/11 community. Clifton was very compassionate to the World Trade Center Rescuers. Clifton spoke of his rock climbing experiences, something he had in common with many of us. Clifton was a man who did reach out to achieve his dreams. Clifton is the oldest American to ever summit an 8,000 meter peak; Cho Oyu Mountain. Clifton will be missed.

Cliff, we will fondly remember you wrangling your tent outside Rock & River in sub zero temp at night by headlamp... why sleep inside, it only makes you soft! There will be a gap in the heart of the Adirondacks.
