I remember meeting you all those yrs ago, when we all used to go out round the pubs in Cockermouth. You always had a smile on your face and good crack. The good always die too young. As I know. My thoughts are with all your family. RIP Clive. Linda(was Wilson)

You were so strong and brave throughout your illness and this made us all strong. You never complained just took it all in your stride.
So sorry we never got to say goodbye but the laughs and memories make me smile.

3 years ago you and Lynne gave me words of comfort and encouragement, those words never leave me and are there to give me hope when things are bad. For that I thank you. Rest now in peace Clive, the braver man and family I have ever met, I feel very blessed to have been a small part of your families life.

I had the good fortune (I was on his side!) to be on the Rugby field at school with Clive. I will always remember his shock of ginger hair and broad shoulders belting down the wing! After school, I lost touch with Clive and it wasn't until I started at Sellafield that I met him again. I was out walking and there was this sudden shout, from across the road, and there was Clive waving and saying (in his own way) hello! It was always a joy to bump in to him and he always had a nice or cheerful word, or if you were really lucky some good crack!
I feel privileged to have known him.

Even though we just met last year face to face. In our short time together, I felt like I have known you all my life. Your passion for life was inspirational. You remind me of Dad with your rough but gentle nature. You touch both mine and Kierons life and we are so lucky to have met you and will treasure our time with you always. Despite our first conversation as 16 year olds where you mentioned you were going to rearrange my anatomy! later as work colleagues I was pleased to become your friend. my enduring memories will be of your steady and straight values and despite being a man mountain from a young age that you were always one of life's gentlemen. Lynne's friends at work will always remember Clive as a loving husband, and a proud caring Father to McKenzie and Rebecca. He was a remarkable man who always put his family first, he had a thirst for life and amazing artistic talents which will live on through his children as they have both inherited his amazing gift.
