I remember meeting you all those yrs ago, when we all used to go out round the pubs in Cockermouth. You always had a smile on your face and good crack. The good always die too young. As I know. My thoughts are with all your family. RIP Clive. Linda(was Wilson)

To a much loved brother-in-law and uncle.

Courageous
Loved and lived life
Irreplaceable
Versatile
Exceptional

Just ask if in doubt
Easy going
Never still, always something planned
Knowledge of great
If asked, nothing any trouble
No mountain high enough

You were so strong and brave throughout your illness and this made us all strong. You never complained just took it all in your stride.
So sorry we never got to say goodbye but the laughs and memories make me smile.
You will be truly missed and always in our thoughts.
Night Night.

You have made us laugh,
You have made us cry,
Now you've left us wondering why?
Why God took you a man so bold,
A friend to all you were all gold.

3 years ago you and Lynne gave me words of comfort and encouragement, those words never leave me and are there to give me hope when things are bad. For that I thank you. Rest now in peace Clive, the braver man and family I have ever met, I feel very blessed to have been a small part of your families life.

I had the good fortune (I was on his side!) to be on the Rugby field at school with Clive. I will always remember his shock of ginger hair and broad shoulders belting down the wing! After school, I lost touch with Clive and it wasn't until I started at Sellafield that I met him again. I was out walking and there was this sudden shout, from across the road, and there was Clive waving and saying (in his own way) hello! It was always a joy to bump in to him and he always had a nice or cheerful word, or if you were really lucky some good crack!
I feel privileged to have known him.

My thoughts are with you.

My Dear friend Clive, i have always respected and admired you .You were such a tough competitor and a proud happy familly man. Boy could'nt i just fill the pages with the past. working in those freezing woods , lumping bags of coal in the bad ole' days and rugby triumphs.

God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
And whispered, "Come To Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you slip away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best

will miss you Clive, love David and Anita xx

Even though we just met last year face to face. In our short time together, I felt like I have known you all my life. Your passion for life was inspirational. You remind me of Dad with your rough but gentle nature. You touch both mine and Kierons life and we are so lucky to have met you and will treasure our time with you always. Fly with your Osprey Clive and I will be watching.
We love you cousin

Despite our first conversation as 16 year olds where you mentioned you were going to rearrange my anatomy! later as work colleagues I was pleased to become your friend. my enduring memories will be of your steady and straight values and despite being a man mountain from a young age that you were always one of life's gentlemen. I will always consider it an honour and privilege to have been your friend and colleague.

Lynne's friends at work will always remember Clive as a loving husband, and a proud caring Father to McKenzie and Rebecca. He was a remarkable man who always put his family first, he had a thirst for life and amazing artistic talents which will live on through his children as they have both inherited his amazing gift.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this very sad time

Despite having only known you a year, it was obvious what a close family you all were and how proud you were of Lynne and children. You never complained about your situation and were always more concerned about others than yourself. It has been an honour to know you.

When I think of you, I think of your warm smile. Fond memories of boy with whom I went through school with. From the messages already written, I can see you were strong, a good family man, and friend - no surprise there, the writing was on the wall from a young age, I would have expected nothing less! I hope that you are in peace now Clive. Elizabeth Gibson (nee Dixon)
