Mazie and family; words can't expess
what Clyde & Mazie have mean't to our family. Here is a few words I hope wil be a blessing In your time of Loss.
Gone; One of thesedays the picture will change. What is gone will be present and what is so present now will
have disappeared. We will join our loved ones again and forever. William Jennings Bryan said,"Christ has made of death a narrow, starlit strip between the companionships of yesterday andthe reunions of tomorrow. Where will tears be then? GONE, For God will have wiped them away. What happened to death? GONE! What about sorrow? GONE! And crying? GONE! ANd what happened to pain, that old companion of these days? GONE! For the former things are passed away"(Rev:21:4).And what happened to the devil? GONE,And sin that has blighted our world these centuries? GONE. Where are the wicked? GONE to where they belong. What became of darkness and night?GONE. Instead, eternal day and all the saints and angels and the river of life and the tree of life and the throne of God and JESUS on it. All that has gone will be present and all that is so painfully present will be gone. So, dear one you are not gone, just gone on ahead! And I would say,in lines precious to me:
Should you go first and I remain,
One thing I'd have you do:
Walk slowly down the path of death,
For soon I'll follow you.
I'll want to know each step you take
I'll want to walk the same,
For some day down that lonely road
You'll hear me call your name.
With my heartfelt love:

If only this old wicked world was filled with more Clyde Lamberts......what a better place it would be. I shall always remember his sweet, smiling face and his kind & humble voice. He possessed great uncountable love for everyone and his abounding wisdom highly respected. He has joined many in matrimony and spoke last words at funerals. I can still remember his words at my precious mother's funeral. Pastor Clyde......WILL BE GREATLY MISSED !!

Mazie, Praying you and your family take comfort in knowing Bro. Clyde is now Home with his Savior and is resting peacefully in His arms. I've known Bro. Clyde for as long as I can remember and will never forget the humble preacher who always had a kind and encouraging word for me, even as a small child. May He surround you and your family with His peace and comfort during this difficult time. "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelation 21:3-5
In His love,

I remember as a child sitting in the pew with my grandmother, Bessie Penley Wampler and watching my grandfather Walter Wampler, sitting up in the front pew listening to Bro. Clyde preach, then listening to my grandfather...those are cherished memories to me...I wish I lived/visitited more often than I did...I remember standing on the creek banks as Clyde and Palp baptisted daddy (Jerry Lewis) what a day that was. He will be missed but I rejoice that he is Heaven with Walter and Bessie, Monnie Edith and my father Jerry Lewis and others waiting to see us one day...

Clyde was a worker for the good Lord above. I remember when he would look so tired and he would tell us that he would rest someday, I see him now at rest with all the other saints of God, I know he has already met Roger and had a reunion with him. I send you my deepest thoughts at this time and know that he is resting peacefully. He baptized Roger and I many years ago. Continue on for his God and met him in heaven some sweet day. Love all of you.
