In memory of

Mrs Clyde Hall Rogers

1918 - 2011

Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. It was a pleasure to get to know your mother throughout the years. Trish and I would deliver books to your mother monthly from the Waycross-Ware County Public Library's Bookmobile. Your mother was an avid reader. Other Bookmobile patrons enjoyed reading the generous book donations she donated. Mrs. Rogers will definitely be missed.

So glad I got to visit with Clyde in recent years. Getting to know her was a blessing for me. I have fond memories of growing up in Goodyear Park, and one special aspect of that childhood was sharing "hand-me-downs". We learned to ride bikes on Jimmy and Billy's used bikes, and I remember being so excited to share our hand-me-down dresses with Sherry and Mary Anne. Clyde was an inspiration to all of us....a true lady. Her strength, courage, kindness and above all, her faith, will not be forgotten. My prayers are with all of you who were lucky enough to call her Momma.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I have many happy memories of the Rogers family and the Tuten family going all the way back to the mid fifties. I can remember leaving church on Sunday and going to Albert Crews #1 for lunch. I remember your dad always wore his hat. I don't think I ever saw him outside without it. I remember when Sherry, MaryAnne, Richard and Mrs. Rogers came to Washington and we kids raced to the top of the Washington Monument. MaryAnne won, by the way. She was incredible. We had a great childhood and great parents. When I reflect on your mother, I know where she is now. I hope you draw strength from the faith she had in the Lord Jesus Christ. I will not be able to attend the service for your mother, because I am out of country. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your extended family.

Sincerely,
Ernie Tuten

Sherry, Richard and family,
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you in your Mother's death. I have fond memories of her at church so many years ago in Brunswick. She was a grand lady and is now enjoying Heaven with loved ones. The great joy is that we will see her again one day!!

Sherry, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your Mom's passing. This is a road none of us like to travel, but just know that along the way your high school friends, especially those of us on the E-Train, are sharing your sorrow today and praying for comfort for you and your family.

Billy, Jimmy, Sherry, and Richard
My sorrow goes out too you all at this time of your loss - but celebration in knowing your Mother is now united with your Dad and Mary Anne in Heaven.
I will always have fond memories of your mom when I was a young boy. She was one of my mothers best friends when we lived in Brunswick and attended First Baptist Church.
