I met Cody through my wife and step daughters, and though I only knew him for a short time, he was a wonderful person. I will miss him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

I too have lost a son (34 yrs old, almost 5 yrs ago because of a reckless driver). Being so unexpected— a strong, healthy young man “taken” in a moment that changes everything like was said in Cody’s obituary— makes the loss Ben harder to accept. Cody sounded much like my son— kind, thoughtful— always thinking of others. I will never understand it. God bless your family. And just a word from my experience: no, you will NOT lose your mind no matter how close you feel to it. And, please remember that YOU must continue to live even though you would like to die to stop the pain! Who else is going to keep Cody’s memories alive?!

Cody was such a wonderful soul. Always polite, always laughing and always loyal. He was like our third son, along with Scott and Christian, who loved him and considered him a brother. The world has lost a truly good guy.

There are no words, but you have my heartfelt deepest sympathy.
